About Me

For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to the path of light and healing. From experiencing debilitating illness in my youth, I was introduced to the other realms through extreme pain. The pain was my baptism to the shamanic path. The pain taught me that I was supposed to lead a life of healing, spirituality and leadership. That path has not always been easy, but with the help of herbal medicine, breath work, body work, and the wisdom from around the world which inspires me on my shamanic journey, I have been able to find a good balance for myself and others. I must take a moment here to say thank you to the mentors, parents, and gurus who have propelled me thus far.

Education

Curanderismo

My ongoing apprenticeship learning from local California healers, learning from plants, and learning from treating homeless and low income folks. I have been studying curanderismo since childhood and have been integrating "death doula" and other shamanic services, into my practice over the past several years.

Bhakti/Vedic Yogini

My ongoing study and practice of bhakti yoga (service oriented yoga) began about 11 years ago and includes an extensive study of ayurvedic mecidine, holistic nutrition, the Vedas, and sanskrit chanting.

Holistic Bodywork Practitioner

12 years ago, I studied and received certification for an extensive 1,000 hour program in traditional swedish, deep tissue, shiatsu massage techniques, anatomy, physiology, structural integration, aromatherapy, hydrotherapy, reflexology, and reiki.

My Philosophy

I believe that everything we experience on this Earth is a lesson to teach us how to spiritually evolve in love, compassion, and unity, as we are all heading in that direction, whether we dig in our heels to try and avoid changing, or jump in head first to this evolution. As above, so below. The earth is suffering right now, and we too are suffering. However, the earth is not the "Victim" and neither are we. This is a time (kali yuga, or, "era of conflict"), for coming into our faith and power. Through many trials, tribulations, calamities and challenges, we will polish off our rough spots until we are nothing more than the pure jewel of bliss and consciousness which we desire to be. One drop of love cancels out two drops of hate. We must learn to "kill with kindness", or, "satya graha" fight ONLY with the force of truth (when we must fight). I have learned from gurus such as HIV+ drug addicts in the streets of Oakland, Hansadutta Baba, and animals of Earth to form a philosophy of compassion, and an attachment for sacred practices which keep the mind and body focused on the eternal goal - to return to the unity of our shared origin.
